Selected Books - Charity Projects

Framed
A Gallery of Dark Delicacies

With their extremely successful foray into publishing to raise money for charity, pups Gomez and Morticia Howison are targeting another charity project near and dear to their hearts - Guide Dogs of America. Looking to release the project in late May of 2003, this groundbreaking volume approached the idea of an anthology in a unique manner: The artists created any image that struck their hearts as long as it fit the criteria. The only rule was that the pictures had to have a frame drawn around them or they must have a framed picture within the drawing itself. The writers were then given a copy of the artwork and asked to write a short story based upon the art. The results are truly stirring as the stories vary from amusing to horrific.

Dark Delicacies' Altruistic Alphabet

Dark Delicacies raised over $8,000 for Shriner's Children's Hospital with their 2002 charity limited edition release, The Altruistic Alphabet. Each author had to write a little rhyme about a letter in the alphabet -- I got the letter X.

Conjuring Dark Delicacies: The Charity Cookbook

I had three dishes in this fantastic, funny cookbook with recipes submitted by horror authors -- Stephen King even had some, er, cooking advice to offer! Yummy.
