Three Lives of Thomasina, The (1964, fantasy and drama)

A red tabby called Thomasina (voiced by Elsbeth March) and her little girl, Mary McDhui (Karen Dotrice), live in the Scottish Highlands with Mary's widowed father (Patrick McGoohan), a hard-hearted veterinarian. When Thomasina dies (don't despair - she has nine lives and this movie only covers three of them!), she winds up in the hands of the local witch (Susan Hampshire) who works her magic and not only brings Thomasina back to life, but warms the heart of Mary's father as well. Based on the book Thomasina: The Cat Who Thought She Was God by Paul Gallico.
