Groundhog Day (1993, comedy and fantasy)

For the fifth winter in a row, TV weatherman Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is forced to cover the Groundhog Day ceremonies in Punxsutawney , PA. , an assignment he thoroughly despises. To add insult to injury, the weather forecasting "rat" (as Phil calls him) is named Phil, too. Punxsutawney Phil, to be exact (he's portrayed by a chubby-cheeked groundhog named Scooter). Much to his dismay, the human Phil has to face the rodent Phil every day when February 2nd keeps repeating itself in a seemingly endless loop. Phil has to find a way to reverse the time warp, or he'll never leave the living hell that is Punxsutawney , PA.
