Bedtime for Bonzo (1951, comedy and romance)

Professor Peter Boyd (Ronald Reagan) tries to teach a chimpanzee called Bonzo (played by Peggy) the concepts of right and wrong in an experiment regarding the merits of nature vs. nurture. The concept extends to Boyd himself, as his sweetheart's father is reluctant to accept him fearing Boyd might be a chip off the old block (the prof's dad is a life-long felon). When the out-of-control ape comes to live in Boyd's house with him, things go riotously awry. Before going Hollywood , Peggy lived in Liberia, Africa. She made her acting debut in 1948's Jungle Jim.
